Čiovo is a small island located on the Adriatic coast, connected to the town of Trogir by a bridge. It is a kind of extension of the city. Trogir is a historical part, and Čiovo is a place for relaxation, fun, swimming and much more. There are many monuments and lush Mediterranean vegetation. The most beautiful beaches are in hidden coves if you want some privacy. The combination of nature, beaches, and incredible climate will surely leave an unforgettable impression. You can call some of the places' paradise, such as Mavarštica, Kava near Slatina and Kava near Okrug Gornji. There are more than 20 km of hiking trails on the island, so you can make a nice one by bike. You can also rent a scooter or quad to tour the island or go on a boat trip to inaccessible bays. Diving is also popular on Čiovo – you can dive among the unusual red rocks covered with marine life. The main crops are olives, figs, almonds, grapes and citrus fruits, and often the locals create their own products from these plants, so you can try some of them on the spot. This way you will get to know the culture of the place. The district is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Croatia, with 2,670 hours of sunshine per year.
