Porec is a town and municipality on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula. Porec is almost 2,000 years old, and is set around a harbor protected from the sea by the small island of Saint Nicholas/San Nicolo (St. Nicholas). Hoards of visitors fill the treasured sixth-century Euphrasian Basilica, the ancient square built by Romans and the scores of restaurants, cafés and one-price-fits-all package hotels.Restaurant staff attempt to pull you in for a meal in the pedestrianised Old Town, and tacky souvenir shops cram the 2,000 year old stone-paved thoroughfare of Decumanus. Comfortable accommodation, all 5 people had a full bed, no sofa bed. Terrace in the sun and in the shade. The hosts were very nice and helpful. Very nice quiet place
Pohodlné ubytování, všech 5 osob mělo plnohodnotnou postel, žádná rozkládací pohovka. Terasa na slunci i ve stínu. Domácí byli moc milí a ochotní. Moc příjemné klidné místo. (Petra)
