We received a very warm welcome. The owners were extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. They toasted the holidays with us, and there were also traditional baked goods. We enjoyed fruit from their garden, eggs from their own chickens, and wine from their own vineyard. The pool is very large, which was especially important for our children. The 200-year-old house is located in a quiet and safe area. It is very clean and thoughtfully designed; the rooms are arranged so that both children and adults can enjoy their privacy. The shower and toilet are located near the pool, as well as a room where you can cook or barbecue. The location is very central; Poreč, Rovinj, and Pula can all be reached in about 40 minutes. Our host welcomed us warmly. The house is lovingly furnished down to the smallest details. We immediately fell in love with this beautiful holiday home. Nothing was missing. The holiday home has three floors. A staircase leads to the living room. This floor contains a bathroom with a shower and a bedroom with its own air conditioning. Next to the bathroom is a small terrace with a comfortable and shady seating area. The kitchen is cozy but very well equipped. It is integrated with the dining area. From the living room, you can access a small covered balcony with a table and armchair, facing the street. On the other side of the living/dining area, a staircase leads to the upper floor with a large bathroom with a bathtub and a washing machine, as well as two additional bedrooms. Air conditioning is available in these rooms as well. The house is located in the middle of a small village. It is pleasantly quiet. During the day, a train occasionally passes by, which did not disturb us. The enclosed outdoor area is also lovingly and thoughtfully designed. There are six sun loungers with cushions by the pool, even bath towels, and a garden shower. Two large umbrellas provide shade. Outside, there are also two tables with six and four chairs respectively, and a separate WC is located in this area. The absolute highlight is the cool summer kitchen located on the lower floor. It features a gas stove with two burners, a sink, and a small selection of kitchenware. A large table with plenty of seating and a comfortable armchair complete the furniture. Every morning, a surprise awaited us on the fence, whether it was bread, pastries, homemade wine, fruit and vegetables, or eggs. We felt very comfortable and safe everywhere. There is only one small drawback. Since the house is a successful mix of old and new, the floor above is made of wooden beams and therefore not soundproof. As an early riser, I had to be very quiet in the morning while making coffee so as not to wake the children. Thank you for the warm welcome to your home! It was a wonderful stay with everything we needed, including many extras such as snacks and welcome drinks. We chose this place because of its location, in the heart of Istria, with access to highways to visit the coast and hilltop towns. It is the perfect place for a peaceful start or end to the day. Every morning we enjoyed a barbecue by the pool and breakfast outdoors before heading out to explore Istrian sights, beaches, and parks. Everything was perfect. The house has exceptional charm, is very well equipped, and lacks nothing. I really loved this old Istrian house. It was beautifully renovated and furnished with respect for the architecture. The hosts were very warm and hospitable, pampering us with their local products. They were very helpful without being intrusive, which made us feel very comfortable. The surroundings are rural and far from tourism. There are many opportunities for walking dogs in nature, starting right from your doorstep. The outdoor area is fully fenced, ideal for dogs. The pool was very clean. When we arrived, the pool temperature was 24°C, but after only a few days, it quickly rose to 28°C from 36°C. The outdoor shower is really great, and our dogs also enjoyed cooling off under it during the heat. The outdoor kitchen and garden WC are very practical. A dream holiday in Casa Gustinka on the Istrian peninsula

We had the pleasure of spending our vacation in the beautiful Casa Gustinka on the Istrian peninsula in Croatia and it was simply fantastic. The house itself is well equipped with a refreshing pool and an inviting barbecue room, ideal for relaxing evenings. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished and have air conditioning, WiFi and TV. What made the stay particularly pleasant was the location, because you can reach all the sights within a very short time. A big highlight of our stay, however, were the exceptionally hospitable owners. They were incredibly attentive, made sure that we lacked nothing and always surprised us with useful tips and tricks for worthwhile excursions in the area. Their help was invaluable even in an emergency, which made our stay even less stressful. We are very grateful for this wonderful time and can highly recommend Casa Gustinka.
