Pazin is a town located in the center of the Istrian peninsula. With its historical landmarks dating back to 983, natural beauty and a rich offer of authentic Istrian dishes, Pazin is an interesting destination for tourists all over Europe and the world. The old part of Pazin is located on a slope below which is the abyss of the river Pazinčica, which forms a geological phenomenon known as the Pazin Cave. Over time, the city expanded westward into the hinterland of the Pazin Cave, where the Pazincica River in its course created the famous waterfall Zarecki Roof and Lake, which during the summer heat attracts tourists and residents of Pazin for refreshment. Due to its geographical location Pazin is characterized by a continental climate with hot summers, and because of its central position in Istria, Pazin winters are cold and occasionally foggy, and summers are hot due to the valley in which it is located. Pazin is connected to all cities in Istria by road, and through it passes the Istrian Ypsilon, which connects it through the Učka tunnel with Rijeka and the rest of Croatia.
