Lopar is a tourist resort on the island, the farthest from the ancient town of Rab, the administrative center of the island. It abounds in sandy beaches and untouched bays with crystal clear water. The local population is involved in tourism, agriculture, livestock and fisheries. Lopar is surrounded by numerous islands and islets, notably Goli, Grgur, Školjić. The largest and most famous is the Paradise Beach, 1.5 km long, with her most tourist center capacity, and has a Blue Flag, an international symbol of quality and preservation of environment and safety of bathers. The emphasis is on healthy foods, especially fish and naturally grown vegetables from local gardens, the quality of locals always been cherished.
