Surroundings
Ložišća is situated some 150 meters above sea level, along the hillside. Therefore the houses are located one above the other, from the valley to the top of the hill. Here is an extremely well-preserved original insular village appearance, with many examples of ancient architecture. The town is dominated by beautiful kampanel (bell tower), the parish church of St. Ivana and Paul, built after the designs of the Brac sculptor Ivana Rendica (1886th-1889th). A small oddity is that the rural patriarchy in Lozisca recoiled from matriarchy.
